We are asking the public to RENEW our current 10 year sales tax levy.
Our ask?
If the sales tax levy is renewed, SARTA promises to continue being a responsible steward of public funds and a trusted transportation partner for Stark County.
We will:
Continue providing safe, reliable, and affordable transportation that connects people to jobs, healthcare, education, shopping, and essential services.
Serve all members of our community, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, veterans, workers, students, and families who depend on public transit every day.
Invest in service improvements that make riding easier, more convenient, and more responsive to the changing needs of our community.
Maintain and modernize our fleet and facilities to ensure dependable service and a comfortable customer experience.
Pursue innovation and sustainability, building on our leadership in clean transportation technologies while seeking efficient solutions that benefit both riders and taxpayers.
Listen to our customers and stakeholders, using feedback to guide decisions and continuously improve the services we provide.
Manage public resources responsibly, maximizing every tax dollar and seeking grants and partnerships that bring additional value to our community.
